Mel Sylvestre

  Mel Sylvestre has been a small-scale organic farmer for 15 years and holds a BSc. in Soil and Plant Science for UBC. Her agricultural focus revolve around seed production. In 2013, she founded the BC Eco Seed Co-op, the first co-operative of vegetable seed producers in Canada. She is currently working as the Perennial and Biodiversity Coordinator at UBC Farm. She is also an organic inspector and a member of the BCARA certifying committee.
