Molly Fremes

  Molly is a research assistant with Debbie Field and Fiona Yeudall at the Centre for Studies in Food Security, Ryerson University. Her current work on the Putting Food First project gathers evidence of the impact of community-based food security projects across Canada. She recently graduated with her Masters in Environmental Studies from York University with a specialization in political agroecology (Prof. Rod MacRae) and ecological economics (Profs. Ellie Perkins and Peter Victor). She is interested in working towards the dismantling of power structures that uphold oppression in the food system (colonialism, racism, ableism, patriarchy, white supremacy, and, and and!) and the redistribution of land, wealth and power across Turtle Island.
