Mara Shaw

  Mara directs Loving Spoonful, a non-profit organization working toward a healthy, food-secure community in Kingston, Ontario by facilitating fresh food access, skill development and community engagement.  Poverty reduction, social inclusion and mental health are all focuses of Loving Spoonful's programming, as are school gardens and curriculum-connected workshops at schools across the Kingston region.  The power of cooking, learning and eating together cannot be undervalued -- but it SO often is!  This must change to create healthier, more connected and supportive people & community.
