The Kids on the Farm program gives school students the opportunity to visit a local farm on a class field trip.  Students in Kindergarten to Grade12 work in gardens, interact with livestock, learn about where their food comes from, how they can grow their own, and much more.  Students are achieving school curriculum objectives on these farm tours, becoming more food literate and having lots of fun!

The Kids on the Farm program is based in Whitehorse, Yukon and was developed by the Growers of Organic Food Yukon (GoOFY) in 2013.  GoOFY is a registered not-for-profit organization based in the Yukon, which promotes organic practices and provides support, education and advocacy about organic growing and processing.  The Kids on the Farm Program is funded by the Canadian Agricultural Partnership program and the Yukon Government Department of Education.
