Julia Laforge is a Postdoctoral Fellow working with Lakehead University
and USC Canada. Her PhD from the University of Manitoba looked at new
farmers in Canada and the politics of knowledge around alternative forms
of agriculture. Originally from Saskatchewan, Julia has been working on
food and farming issues for over a decade both within and outside of
academia, including running her own farm for a couple years. Her current
research is looking at how agroecology is practiced and understood
internationally and within Canada.
