
Hannah Wittman is Academic Director of the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems and Professor in the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) at the University of British Columbia. She received her PhD in Development Sociology from Cornell University and conducts community-based research related to food sovereignty, agrarian reform, and food literacy. Her work contributes towards a critical discussion of pathways towards food sovereignty, agroecology, and health equity in Canada and Latin America.
