Graham Carr was appointed Provost and Vice-President, Academic Affairs on October 1, 2016, prior to that he served as Vice-president for Research and Graduate Studies.
Graham came to Concordia as a faculty member in History in 1983. His research focuses on North American cultural history, in particular cultural diplomacy and the Cold War.
At Concordia he has served as Chair in the Department of History, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, Dean of Graduate Studies, and Vice-President, Research and Graduate Studies.
He is a past president of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences; a founding executive committee member of the Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Administrators, past Chair of the Canada-US Fulbright selection committee, and served for many years on the National Capital Commission’s Advisory Committee for Communications, Marketing and Programming.
