By seeing and working with incredible food organizations and leaders, I feel that it's critical for us to address food in a holistic way. If a young person understands where their food comes from, how exactly their food becomes fuel to help them do what they love, and the environmental and social implications of their food choices, they're becoming food literate.
Action Against Hunger Canada's youth-centred program, Generation Nutrition, improves access to healthy food and builds lifelong food skills for all through outdoor and in-class activities and modules. We empower young leaders to become food and nutrition champions and create solutions to community challenges.
