Juneeja is the Co-Chair of Food Secure Canada Youth Caucus. She has her Masters in Science and Technology Policy from University of Edinburgh where her research focused on the sociological analysis of controversies around genetically modified food in India. Juneeja currently works with United Way Greater Toronto supporting place-based strategy development and implementation to enable low-income communities to collectively build strong neighbourhoods. She has previously helped establish multi-stakeholder action groups including Malvern Food Security Table and is the co-founder of Scarborough Food Network. Over the years, Juneeja has been involved in developing programs to support youth leadership in food and working alongside multiple sectors to support immigrant food catering networks, an urban farm and other local food initiatives. Juneeja was also previously involved with the Toronto Youth Food Policy Council as its Vice-Chair and Education Co-lead. She brings her passion for mobilizing youth and leveraging collective action to make the food system more inclusive and resilient.
