School food programs have the potential to improve children's lives, to strengthen communities, and to transform food systems. The session’s panelists will share, from their research and experience, promising practices for how these programs can live up to their full potential. They will discuss evidence that demonstrates how food literacy education, efforts to increase student access to good food, and local food procurement can complement one another to have significant impacts on students and their broader communities.
