Hello to you.  I'm Eleanor Boyle, an educator and writer living in Vancouver.  A former journalist and college instructor, I now write about how people can eat more sustainably.  My earlier education was in Psychology (BA) and Neuroscience (PhD), but a number of years ago I yearned to better understand our problematic food systems, and studied at City University in London, UK, with Tim Lang and colleagues for an MSc in Food Policy.  
Since then I've written a book called High Steaks: Why and How to Eat Less Meat (For copies, email me at eleanorboyle@gmail.com).   I'm now immersed in a new food topic.  It concerns the visionary food policies in World War II Britain that helped that country and its Allies win the war, made citizens in Britain healthier, decreased inequality, and revitalized domestic agriculture -- and the lessons of that historical initiative for our food system today.
In other pursuits, I'm an international signatory to the Vision for Fair Food and Farming of the organization Compassion in World Farming.  I studied at Cambridge University in England on a fellowship, worked for UNESCO in West Africa, and will compete for Team Canada at the World Age Group Triathlon in Switzerland in 2019.  Plus I enjoy cooking and hiking.
